We are Cuyahoga Falls Republicans.

The purpose of the Cuyahoga Falls Republican Club is to bring together conservative minds in active conversation; promoting the ideas and views of the Republican Party for the betterment of Cuyahoga Falls, the state of Ohio, and the U.S.A.

We promise to be loyal to the Republican Party, Republican principles and to each other. And we agree to support local candidates through guidance, participation and friendship.

History

The Cuyahoga Falls Republican Club was established in May 2018 by several concerned residents in the City. At the time, a Democratic Club existed but there was no local Republican Club.

The group began holding monthly meetings with guest speakers and the word got out — there is indeed a Republican Club in the City of Cuyahoga Falls! And the group continued to grow and gain momentum.

The founding officers were President, Susan Truby; Vice President Nathan Leaver; Secretary, Cecilia Robart; and Treasurer, Russ Iona; and Chaplain, Terry Mader. Annual dues were established at $25, which is still supported today.

About Us

The CF Club meets monthly – typically on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Guest speakers are invited which include political candidates, office holders and other area CEOs of local interest. At times, we arrange joint meetings with other area Republican Clubs; therefore, dates and times can, and do differ.

Our home club meeting location is the American Legion, located at 1601 S. Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Again, this may change from time to time.

Our club is run by volunteers who provide their time and money to keep our Club active and interesting.

2023/2024 Officers:

President, Don L. Robart
Vice President, John Chapman
Secretary, Sue Truby
Treasurer, Russ Iona

What We Believe

  • I am a Republican because I believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

  • I believe the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.

  • I believe the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

  • I believe government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

  • I believe free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

  • I believe the principles of freedom, liberty, and responsibility set forth in the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and our willingness to defend them, are the foundations for our success.

  • I believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, religion, gender, age of disability.

  • I believe Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

  • I believe Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to promote peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

  • Finally, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
